They're written by the amazing Douglas Adams and there are five books of this series:



1. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

2. The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

3. Life, the Universe, and Everything

4. So Long and Thanks for All the Fish

5. Mostly Harmless



There are also many movies, radio plays &amp; artworks for fans. =D

			<description><![CDATA[I remember reading this book a while ago. It was about a Soldier and his German Shepard. If I recall correctly, the Soldier dies, (or disappears), then the Dog goes on a journey alone, meeting people and other dogs on his way.
