I'm looking for more bands that are considered Viking Metal. These bands are generally Scandinavian and have music relating to Norwegian folklore.

While I am currently not listening to any at the moment, two bands that I like that sound kind of like this would be Sonata Arctica, and Dragonforce. They are considered 'Power Metal', instead, but I think the concepts are about the same.

So anyway, if any of you guys listen to these kinds of bands, please let me know who to listen to! I've been told that Apocalyptica is a good band that's in this genre. Also I don't mind if the band speaks in a foreign language - I'm into a band called In Extremo who sing in German but is considered to be this kind of metal.

I like to listen to a variety of music styles, but I've been having trouble finding metal that I can get into. I only like one or two Black Metal/Death Metal bands, and the rest I just don't have the ear for. So I think these kinds of metal, Viking and Power, are more of my style.

I picked up my first new band today. I got Apocalyptica's album Worlds Collide. This is a little different than I'm used to, but it's not bad at all! I'm in love with the song Helden, which is sung in German. Kinda makes me think of In Extremo a little.
