Added a "user" folder where the user can change the sounds and the background image. (Having this folder allows users to easily share their own themes for the program)

Added the ability to play a background track, and to let users insert their own track.

I've also been updating the readme file, and making a 3D model of a Quaver, for my little pic between the "On" "Off" buttons.

I find it easier to make models, and render them as a picture, instead of trying to draw them in a paint program. Plus, they usually come out as win! yay

One last update for today.

Made another music button, and changed the look a little... (Default buttons suck!)

Sluggs, you're making the TEF version of the *Swiss Army Knife. xD I love it. o3o I can predict that I'm going to use this program a lot when you're done. <3

*Or maybe it's more like the iPhone. Or a iPhone Swiss Army Knife.

Oh, and nice desktop background. That movie was awesome. :D

That. Looks. And sounds. Awesome.
When will it be avaliable? I would download straight away!
Again, how old are you? (or say if you don't want to say, its fine). I want to see how long it takes to learn!

(yay I saw me at the bottom of the TOT forum woo XD)

Hey Sluggs. :D
For the map, I thought it might be interesting to have the location markers clickable and then link back to their pages on the TEF website?
For example the Pond icon would link to the pond page, the Playground would link to the playground page, etc. Just a random idea.

Jen's neat idea is proving to be rather tricky! I've spent hours experimenting to get something, (which should be a simple thing to do), to work, but Visual Basic's not allowing me to do it! tongue

*Shouts at VB*

I'm trying to make some "Hotspots" to place over the Live Forest Map, so when you click on one of the landmarks, (such as the pond), it takes you to the TOT website, and displays the webpage that gives you details about the landmark.

Intead of VB placing my hotspots over the map, it's placing them underneath the map, so I can't click on them! crybaby

Why are the simplest of things, always the hardest to do? blurgh

I'm going to keep experimenting. If I don't find a way to what I want to do, I'll just have to put little buttons on the screen instead. (I've actually already done this, so if all else fails, I'll just load back in an earlier save)

Here's how the map looks, with added buttons...

I think it looks a mess, myself, so if it fails, I'll probably move those buttons off the map and place them underneath it.

Update:

Because of a little problem with the window that displays the map, I won't be able to incorporate Jen's idea. If I find a way around this, I will fix it in a later version. In this version, if the user clicks on the map, the map window will close. This stops the map window from viewing the website when the user clicks on a picto. (I only want the window to show the map, not a website!)

I had a great idea the other day... To enable the user to fire up TEF from the program!

I have animated my Quavers! The original ones were .bmp images, these are .gif's...

The Quavers were made with Anim8or and made into .gif's by Jasc's Animation Shop 3.

At first, I had trouble displaying animated .gif's in the program. Although they loaded OK, they wasn't animating.

Anyway, I'm still not sure if I'll use them gif's yet. I just made them in case I change my mind!

I've removed the clock from the program. This was for two reasons...

1) Most of you will have a clock on your taskbar.
2) To keep the program form neat and tidy.

Ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I fixed that little problem I was having with the map! bananajump Clicking on a picto no longer closes the window, or takes you to the player info page. Clicking on a picto now, has no effect!

That's one problem solved. Now I need to solve another if I'm going to add Jen's awesome idea! eww

*Runs around the forest to celebrate*

Here's how it's looking so far...

The program displays the map in it's own little window. Clicking on the picto's has been disabled, to stop anything else being displayed in the window, other than the map. Previously, clicking on a picto would show the community website in the map window!

The program uses Internet Explorer for the map and links, and notepad for viewing text. (You will need these for the program to run correctly)

Update:

Made links open in the user's default browser. (They previously opened up in Internet Explorer)

Can someone do me a big favour?

I need someone to check to see if they have these files in their Windows\System32 folder...

winmm.dll
shell32.dll

These are required by the program. I just need to make sure you have them on your computer! (For peace of mind)
