PostSubject: Spellsaver problem   Wed Oct 07, 2009 1:59 pm

Hiiii!! I downloaded de latest version of spellsaver 1.5 but somehow it doesn't work on my computer..:( Like the previous one 1.0, I saved my sets and everything and when I restore my spelldata it says that it has been restored, everything seems ok but when i open TEF nothing changed.. I really can't see where the problem is, I checked program files but everything seems normal...Any idea what I need to do to make it work? THX! :)

Hi!

If you're using Vista, your best bet is to uninstall it, then reinstall it to somewhere like C:\Spell Saver v1.5 because Vista is fussy about things in the program files folder. This is the best way and it saves having to run the program as administrator.

If not, you maybe saving blank spelldata. To save a set, you need to quit TEF without logging out. To do this, just click on the white "X" at the bottom-right of the screen, then use Spell Saver to save it.

What's actually happening?

When you go in TEF, do you have the default set, (no spells?)

You say there's no change? Could you have saved the same set more than once, using different names?

*When I open TEF I have still the same spells I had from the last time I went in-forest. Take for example I wear the gazelle pelt, real mask and gazelle antlers.I quit the game without logging out and use the spellsaver to save this set under the name 'Gazelle Set'. The spellsaver says that my set has been saved.

*The next time when I go In-forest, I change my deer into a frog,.again without logging out I quit the game as a frog. I use the spellsaver to save the frog spell under 'Frog'. Again it says that my set is saved.

*The next time in forest I'll still play as a frog.

*When I want to change I use the spellsaver to change back to the gazelle pelt, real deer mask and gazelle antlers. I use 'restore spelldata' and put 'Gazelle Set'. The spellsaver says that my data has been restored.
Then, when I open TEF, I'm still a frog! so nothing changes when I restore the spelldata.

hehe that was long.. sorry for that ^^'

so that's what happens...
I do have in my list double names like 'Gazelle Set' and 'Gazelle Set + Default Antlers' could this be confusing?
I also have 2 local stations c: and j: where both in program files TEF 3 is installed. Maybe this confuses?
aarrggh!! I hate my computer! >.< Maybe I should just try to reinstal it.. Thank you again for the help! :) I realy realy apriceate it!!

EDIT: FOUND IT! 8DDD ignore what's written above ^^ Thank you soo much for your help!!! <3<3
